Molong & Orange

MOLONG

This is a very small page.

We were going to spend 3 nights at Molong and visit Orange for one day, but that did not pan out the way we planned.

We stayed at the showgrounds & golf course here just out of town.  The have power, water, really nice and super clean toilet & showers, and all for just $20 per night.  We parked just a short distace from the hole number 8 and had a nice view over the golf course either side of the road.

Unfortunately the internet was not good here for us, so as I was working, we only spent 1 night and booked into a caravan park in Orange for the other 2 nights.

We did however really like the small township and ventured into the Telegraph Pub for a couple of coldies and a huge $8 bowl of chips.  We enjoyed that so much, that we came back for dinner and that was awesome.  I loved my Italian sandwich with yummy basil pesto, salami and huge hunks of motzerella cheese.  Hubby had Thai flavoured prawns which looked luscious.  Obviously they got a good 5 star rating on Google reviews.

I took a couple of quick shots of the Molong Water Tank Art as we drove by to add to my Silo Art Trail page.

Furphys Water Cart.  We saw one of these at the ACE Caravan Park at Cowra.

MOLONG TO ORANGE

ORANGE

~~oOo~~

We stayed at the Colour City Council Caravan Park in Orange.  The internet was very fast here and hubby didn't have to put up our antenna.  So I was able to do a good day at work and earn a bit more money to pay the $43 per night fee.

I think this was a bit too costly for what it was here.  If there was a pool, I would have given a better review.  The Caravan Park is just next door to their showgrounds.

The facilities were clean, although I did see a filthy big red back spider in one of the loo cubicles, so I gave that one a wide berth.  At least we were able to park on a level concrete slab and the power & water were very close to our van.  So overall, it was pretty good.
